Laura Francesca
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) in
1982 to an Italian father and an Anglo-Italian mother. I am a TEFL-certified
English teacher with a degree in Natural Sciences, and over the years I have
specialized in outdoor education projects in different educational settings
ranging from primary school to upper secondary school.
I have two daughters, Maeva and Chloe, and
with my partner Luca we spend much of our free time exploring nature and hiking
the beautiful trails around us. I also share other passions with my family,
including trail running and heavy metal music.
My great passion for nature began in my
childhood. Both of my parents have always loved the mountains, and thanks to
them I spent many summers in Valle D’Aosta (Aosta Valley), thus developing a
strong and lasting connection with the alpine environment from an early age.
I have led groups of teenagers on multiple day
hikes in English, including walking twice the Via degli Dei (Bologna–Florence).
These experiences made me realize that an essential part of my educational
mission is to walk alongside young people, steering them away from their
phones, helping them to rebuild healthy relationships and rediscover their inner
balance.
In addition to my work as a teacher, in
March 2025 I obtained my Nature Guide certification. During the training course
I met my colleagues Stefano and Giacomo, with whom I shared several hikes and a
common dream that led to the creation of the Trekking Trio Adventures. Together
we have led groups in the Contrafforte Pliocenico Reserve, in Livergnano, Sasso
Marconi, the Vena del Gesso Romagnola, and other areas of the Apennines.
I strongly believe in the value of walking
as a powerful tool for education and personal growth. Taking people into
nature, far from daily life distractions, helps them to rediscover their
balance, appreciate true relationships, and inner purpose.
